I had a talk with Winston today. He told me that he has a diary, where he writes about his dreams and feelings. He even told me the location. It's located at this place where the telescreen is at an angle that can’t pick him up. He knows that it’s not safe, and if he gets caught, he will be vaporized. But, he still does it anyways. He’s such a risk taker, and that’s what I love about him. There is nothing sexier than a man who rebels! He also told me about his wife, Katherine. It sounds to me that they had an awful marriage. I don’t understand why he looks at his separation with Katherine as a bad thing. Getting rid of her was probably the best thing he ever did.
Out of all the men I’ve been with, Winston worries me the most. He’s always talking about death. I always have to make an effort to distract him. It's pretty tiring sometimes, but I feel like it's my job. The more time we spend together, the less he talk about death.
Anyways, I have a "meeting" with one of the members of the Inner Party in a few hours. Winston will be very happy. Love, Julia
